25 Songs Everyone Claims to Hate but Still Sings Along To

Everyone has at least one song they claim to hate until it comes on in the car. Maybe you roll your eyes at the first few notes. Maybe you complain that it was overplayed, cheesy, annoying, or impossible to escape. But then the chorus hits, and suddenly you know every word. Somehow, the song you supposedly cannot stand has you singing along anyway.

That is the strange power of a truly unforgettable pop song. Some of these tracks were disliked from the start. Others were simply played so often that people got tired of admitting they enjoyed them. A few became punchlines, guilty pleasures, or cultural shorthand for bad taste. But whether they were mocked, dismissed, or blasted endlessly on the radio, they never really went away.

These are 25 despised songs that people still secretly love, even if they would rather not admit it.
