Which Country Has the Largest Navy in the World? (Hint: It’s Not the U.S.) Navies play a critical role in global security, protecting trade routes, supporting military operations, and projecting national power across the world’s oceans. From small coastal defense forces to massive fleets equipped with aircraft carriers, submarines, and advanced destroyers, naval strength often reflects a nation’s strategic priorities and technological capabilities.
