How to Watch Paramount Plus On Samsung Smart TV

If you’re the owner of a new Samsung smart TV, you’ll have access to lots of channels right off the bat. This is through their free pre-installed service, Samsung TV Plus. Although some favorites like ABC are included, this service does leave much to be desired. Fortunately, due to its smart features, there are some other ways to stream on a Samsung TV. In this article, we’re going to show you how you can tune into Paramount Plus using your Samsung smart TV.

But first, check out these alternative streaming options we recommend to see if they appeal.

How Can I Watch Paramount Plus on a Samsung Smart TV?

As mentioned, Paramount Plus doesn’t come loaded onto your Samsung TV by default. However, if your Samsung TV is more recent than 2017, there’s a fairly easy solution. You can download and install Paramount Plus (named Paramount+) from the app store. Follow the steps below for how to do this.

Step 1: Open Apps

First, navigate to the “Apps” menu using your Samsung remote.

Step 2: Find “Paramount+”

Next, search for “Paramount+” by using the search icon in the top right.

Step 3: Download and Install

Finally, hit the “Install” button to download the Paramount Plus app. Once you open it, you’ll need to select “Sign in with Paramount+”.

Step 4: Enter Login Details

You can do this in one of two ways. You can select “On my TV”, and then enter your Paramount Plus email address and password to log in. Alternatively, if you’re already signed in on your computer, select “On the Web” instead. Then, visit the Paramount Plus website (at www.paramountplus.com/samsung) and enter the code from your TV screen to sign in quickly.

How do I Sign Up For Paramount Plus On Samsung TV?

If you need to sign up for Paramount Plus, the easiest way to do so is via the on-screen directions once you’ve downloaded the app. After all, you’re going to have to install it anyway to watch, so it makes sense. After you’ve installed the app, follow these steps. However, you can also sign up for one of their plans on their website, if you like.

Step 1: Select “Sign Up”

After loading the app, select the “Sign Up” button. This will display an activation code on your screen. Enter this code at www.paramountplus.com/samsungtv, either on a mobile device or your computer. Hit “Activate”.

Step 2: Choose a Payment Plan

Next, you’ll need to choose a subscription plan, as Paramount Plus isn’t available for free. Currently, there are two plans available: the “Essential” plan and the “with SHOWTIME” plan (the latter was previously known as “Premium”). The monthly costs for the plans are $5.99 and $11.99 for Essential and SHOWTIME, respectively. However, if you sign up for an annual plan instead, you can save around 16% on the Essential plan ($4.99/month) and 8% on the with SHOWTIME plan ($9.99/month).

Aside from being able to stream hit SHOWTIME programming with the premium plan, there are some other benefits that you don’t get with Essential. These include access to your local CBS station and completely ad-free programming. The commercials aren’t too extensive on the Essential plan, but if being free of interruptions is important to you, this is something to consider.

How to Screen Cast Paramount Plus to Samsung TV

Although streaming Paramount Plus directly on your Samsung TV is pretty easy with the method we described earlier, you can also choose to cast the app from your mobile device. Check out the next steps to do this.

Using Samsung Smartphones

If you have a Samsung phone, this method is simple.

Step 1: Open Paramount Plus and then the Quick Panel

First, load up the Paramount Plus app and start streaming. After this, swipe up to access the Quick Panel.

Step 2: Cast to TV

To finish, choose Smart View, and then tap your Samsung TV. Make sure that you connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi.

How to Cast Using an iPhone

If you have an iPhone and not an Android, don’t worry. All you have to do is make sure you activate Apple AirPlay within your TV’s general settings and then tap the AirPlay logo on your phone.

How to Chromecast Paramount Plus

Chromecast is a popular and simple solution for casting to your TV. The method is much the same, except you’ll need to tap the Chromecast logo instead of AirPlay or Smart View.
