The public has been very critical of Funko Pop figures. Some look at it as a passing trend, while others think Funko Pops are just plain ugly. Regardless, the Funko Company has been around for more than 20 years. And many people love collecting them! If you’re looking to build your collection, and want to have Funko Pops that are a bit out there and different, here are the hilarious Funko Pops you’ll want to grab.
Best Most Hilarious Funko Pops
Mike Becker started Funko in 1998 as a tiny initiative to resurrect various low-tech, nostalgia-themed toys. The Big Boy restaurant advertising emblem served as the inspiration for Funko’s first produced bobblehead. Since then, the company has gone on to make over 8,000 Funko Pops. Some are inspired by comics, others have no rhyme, and still, others have no reason as to why they’re made.
Most Hilarious Funko Pop: Sharknado
When the movie Sharknado came out, it instantly created a cult following. But not for the reasons you may think. The movie is terrible, and instead of being scary, it’s a movie you laugh at because it’s utterly ridiculous.
Sharknado Funko Pop is the perfect funny option for just about anyone! Just like the movie, it looks absurd. And, unlike people who collect Funko Pops for specific reasons, it is a fantastic choice for those who don’t love specific movies, shows, or pop culture icons. At the end of the day, it’s just a shark in a tornado. That’s pretty funny when you think about it.
Most Random Hilarious Funko Pop: Casual Friday Meredith
Attention all “The Office” fans! While many Office Funko Pops are funny, this one takes the cake. The Dunder Mifflin Scranton office is home to a very colorful individual named Meredith (played by Kate Flannery). She is an improper, inebriated symbol. The staff overdoes it with their attire in “Casual Friday,” an episode many love to rewatch (it’s Season 5, Episode 26 if you’re curious).
With a too-short dress, Meredith definitely goes too far. Her breast protrudes when she pushes the dress down farther, and her lack of underwear is visible when she draws it up. The other workers beg Toby (played by Paul Lieberstein) to change Meredith, but Meredith will always be Meredith. With a blurred boob out and everything, this funny Meredith Funko Pop is great for The Office fans.
Biggest Cult Following Hilarious Funko Pop: Jabba The Hutt
Star Wars has some of the most loyal fans. Because of this, Star Wars Funko Pops are extremely popular. But this Jabba The Hutt one is honestly terrible — which makes it hilarious.
Funko made an effort to make Jabba epic in size, but he was constructed incorrectly in some key areas. His tongue is incorrect, not looking anywhere near the tail it’s supposed to resemble. Also, his tongue only hangs out like that when Leila takes him out. So, is this supposed to be a dead Jabba? If so, that’s wild. Anyway, he can help complete a Star Wars set, but let’s just say that he isn’t the most accurate.
Best Meme Hilarious Funko Pop: This Is Fine Dog (EE Exclusive) Meme
Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ve most likely seen the “This Is Fine” meme over the last few years. Based on the viral meme, Funko unveiled This Is Fine Dog Pop figurine. The pop portrays accepting an awful fate based on a 2013 Gunshow comic strip by KC Green that became a viral meme.
Honestly, this is the type of Funko Pop that you’d have on your desk or wherever you have your daily “what the hell” moments.
Most Expensive Hilarious Funko Pop: SpongeBob SquarePants Imagination
It’s Spongebob with a rainbow; what more could you really need or want? For Spongebob fans, they’ll remember the episode where Spongebob kept saying “imagination,” and Squidward started getting upset. It’s classic and hilarious, for sure.
Spongebob is a unicorn of the sea and has many fans around the world, both young and old. If you’re looking for a funny Funko Pop, love Spongebob, and have around $50 to $70 to spend on one, you can get this!
Cutest Hilarious Funko Pop: Domo Dark Knight
For those who don’t know, Domo is the mascot for a Japanese TV firm. We have no clue how that relates to Batman or why Domo enjoyed such a brief spell of popularity. But it’s safe to say that Domo lovers will think that this Funko Pop is adorable and also kind of hilarious. Plus, you’ll get two different Funko Pop types in one (Batman plus Domo!).
Scariest Hilarious Funko Pop: Walking Dead’s Bicycle Girl
Okay, even if you’ve ever watched the Walking Dead show, you may have forgotten about the bicycle girl zombie. Why? Because she only appears in one scene.
But leave it to Funko Pop to create a figurine of a character that is only known from one scene. But, she was a walker who had an emotional conversation with the main character Rick. So we’d say she could be fairly important. Either way, the Funko Pop is lacking half of her body. She’s pretty scary because she’s gnarly and almost ruined. But, for Walking Dead fans, she could be a great addition to your collection.
- Cute, little vinyl Funko pop figure
- Nice collectible for zombie fans
- Gross-looking skin
- Best for bedroom, office, living room
Rarest Hilarious Funko Pop: Austin Powers Collectible Figure, Multicolor
Yeah, Baby! It was a gamble for Mike Myers to merge James Bond satire and 1960s bachelor society. But the gamble paid off (clearly) because Austin Powers subsequently gained international renown as a cultural icon.
Fans can quote him endlessly, using phrases like “Oh, behave!” and “Allow me to introduce…myself.” And you can’t go wrong with this shagadelic Austin Powers Funko Pop. Honestly, it’s a must-have for every comedy fan’s Funko Pop collection.
Ugliest Hilarious Funko Pop: Dancing Richard Simmons
Now, we’re not saying that Richard Simmons is ugly. But the Dancing Richard Simmons Funko Pop certainly is! Evidently, a regular Richard Simmons Funko Pop wasn’t enough for the company. Richard Simmons has a sizable market, so they produced a Dancing Richard Simmons variation. But let’s be honest, it’s awful. We see this Funko Pop as a gag gift at best, but if you want to add it to your collection because you love Richard Simmons, be our guest.
How To Pick The Best Hilarious Funko Pops: Step by Step
When picking hilarious Funko Pops, you have to decide on two things. Do you want them funny, and are they within your budget?
First, of course, it’s important to pick a hilarious Funko Pop that is genuinely funny to you. If that’s not one from this list, that’s okay! Everyone has a different opinion. With so many Funko Pops out there, we’re sure you’ll find something that makes you laugh!
Second, some of the Funko Pops on this list are over $50 (with one going for $200!). So be sure that you have a budget for your collection.
What To Know Before Buying Hilarious Funko Pops
Unless your Funko Pop is extremely rare, its value won’t likely go up much. So if you’re collecting Funko Pops to sell one day, we suggest sticking to well-known or rare options, like those released during Comic Cons. But, if you’re just buying what makes you happy, get whatever you want.
Collecting Hilarious Funko Pops: What it’s Like
Despite being ridiculous, and sometimes a bit ugly, Funko Pops are much fun to look at! If you’re a fan of Funko Pops, we highly suggest adding at least one of these hilarious figures to your collection.
