There’s still a lot to love about the Xbox 360. It has great graphics and an excellent controller, and it’s been around for years. But the console is impressive because it hosts a library of great real-time strategy games.

The Xbox 360 is still an excellent platform for strategy games, even though it’s several decades old. The system’s online service, Xbox Live, allows you to play against players from all over the world, and it’s home to some of the most well-known RTS titles in gaming history.

The following games are the best Xbox 360 RTS games based on actual user reviews.

What is a Real-Time Strategy Game?

Real-time strategy is a video game genre in which the player can control resources, build an army, and manage forces. Typically, you’ll have a top-down view of the land with the ability to move resources and units to achieve various game objectives.

Created in the mid-1990s, RTS games were popularized by the likes of Command & Conquer, a beloved RTS game released in 1995.

A Brief History of the Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 is one of the most popular home video game consoles ever. It was first released on November 22, 2005, in North America, and has since been marketed worldwide. The Xbox 360 competed with Sony’s PlayStation 3 and Nintendo’s Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles.

The Xbox 360 was developed by Microsoft Corporation in collaboration with IBM and Nvidia. It has two main models: the original Arcade model, which the S model replaced, and the newer Pro model, which was released in 2008. The newer models included an improved hard drive, a faster processor, and more memory than their predecessors.

The console has been highly successful since its launch. As of July 2022, it had sold 85.8 million units worldwide, including over 47 million units in North America, according to Statista, making it one of the best-selling consoles in history.

Toy Soldiers is an Xbox 360 RTS game released in 2010. It was developed by Signal Studios and published by Microsoft Game Studios.

The game is set during World War I, and you play as a toy soldier who must defend an army base from invading German soldiers.

The gameplay of Toy Soldiers is similar to other real-time strategy games like Starcraft and Command & Conquer. You must build your base, train troops, and then send them out to destroy enemy strongholds. There are many different kinds of units to choose from, including machine guns, tanks, bombers, and snipers.

The game also has a two-player mode, so you can go head-to-head against a friend in either competitive or cooperative ways.

emHalo Wars/em was developed by Ensemble Studios, published by Microsoft Game Studios for the Xbox 360, and released in February 2009.

The game plays like an extended battle scene from one of the Halo games. You move your troops around the map and attack enemy bases while trying not to die. There are two main modes, but they’re the same thing with different objectives and maps.

The controls are easy to pick up, there’s a good variety of units to use, and the story is interesting enough to keep you playing.

In emIron Brigade/em, you’re defending your base, but you must build your army and use it to destroy the enemy.

This game has a lot of depth and variety, so it’s easy to spend hours playing.

The graphics are excellent, with great animations and detailed models for everything from tanks to soldiers. The sounds are good, too, with lots of explosions and gunfire effects that give the combat some punch without being overwhelming or annoying.
