June 9, 2023 — Soon, charging options for some non-Tesla EV owners in North Dakota and the rest of the country will become a lot more convenient. Two auto industry giants, Ford and General Motors, recently announced that at the beginning of 2024 owners of their EV vehicles will be able to use adaptors to charge at 12,000 of Tesla’s Superchargers. And, at the start of 2025, both manufacturers’ EVs will feature Tesla’s North American Charging Standard connector.
In addition to providing greater access to charging stations, this move likely signals a move towards a North American charging standard.
