Is the SAMSUNG Galaxy Watch 4 40mm Worth It?
We compared the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 (list price $249.99) to two similar smartwatches: the Apple Watch Series 7 GPS 40mm ($399) and the Fitbit Sense ($299.95).
The Samsung Galaxy has the smallest display (1.2-inch AMOLED) with the lowest pixel density of the three. The Apple Watch Series 7’s 1.6-inch Retina OLED is the largest and has the highest pixel density. This means that it produces the sharpest, most vibrant images. It also has a wider color gamut, which allows it to display more colors than the other smartwatches in our roundup.
Similarly, the Apple Watch Series 7 has the most advanced processor (Apple S7) of the devices in our lineup.
All three devices feature a comparable list of health and fitness tracking features, though the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is the only one that features a composition sensor.
Surprisingly, the Fitbit Sense has a battery life of up to six days, compared to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 at up to 40 hours and the Apple Watch Series 7 at up to 18 hours.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is the only smartphone in our list with LTE connectivity, which will allow you to make and receive calls and texts even if your phone isn’t nearby.
