As most people are still trying to buy an RTX 3000 series card, NVIDIA has already moved on. However, the RTX 4000 series is on the horizon, even though most information is still in the shadows. The seemingly lightweight card of this lineup will be the RTX 4060. This means there should be plenty to go around unless we have another GPU disaster as we did in 2020. After that statement, I would appreciate it if everyone would knock on the nearest wood to them.
NVIDIA has reportedly invested $10 billion in purchasing components for the RTX 4000 series, so there should be no issues.
Before we get too far in this article, it should be noted that we do not have the complete information for this card. NVIDIA has kept much of this information under the hood, and we might even see these cards released under the RTX 5060 name instead. So, we will cover all the information we have currently.

We do not have exact pricing yet, but we can make some estimates comparing it with the previous generations’ launch prices. I will also consider that GPU prices have still not fully stabilized and the rising inflation rates. With that all playing into my estimate, I would say it could launch for around $300-$400. Only time will tell with the pricing; we will update this as we get more information.

The release date is another one of those things that we have to speculate on for now, but knowing NVIDIA, they like to release a bulk of their GPU families at the same time. A lot of the community expects a release for October, but depending on if NVIDIA can get rid of their RTX 3000 stock, we might see the 4000 series come out in early 2023.
Price is entirely in speculation as well. However, compared to other releases, we might see the RTX 4060 with an MSRP of $300-$400. Don’t take that at my word, though, because with growing inflation rates, it is hard to give an estimate for something that can actually be released six months from now.

Nvidia: RTX 4060 Review
We will need to wait a bit for a proper review of the RTX 4060, but for now, we can speculate on some benchmarks given the limited specifications we know. It is rumored to feature Ray Tracing capabilities of the RTX 3090-Ti. I assume that DLLS will be continued on this series and might even be better than it is in its current state.
Power will be a significant concern for anyone planning to build a new PC with the RTX 4060, with its TDP rumored to be around 220W or more. Considering that every component in a PC is seemingly getting more and more power hungry, you will want to look at a high-quality power supply that should probably be at least 750W.
Whenever the RTX 4060 is officially released, we will be able to fact-check all these rumors and leaks. For now, all we can do is keep looking out for more information and hope that when we get the RTX 4060 in our hands, it lives up to what we have leaked and gossiped about.

Nvidia RTX 4060: Is It a Buy?
With the possibility that the RTX 4060 is still six months away, and all of our information on it so far is from leaks and speculative, it is hard to give a definitive answer on whether to buy it or not. With that, I am pretty excited to see the RTX 4060 and 4000 series launch for a multitude of reasons.
For one, these cards promise to be extremely powerful and another colossal jump in GPU technology. Even though NVIDIA always says that it seems like it might be the truth with this one. We were all blown away by the RTX 3000 lineup and its jump in power, so right now, I have no reason to doubt NVIDIA’s engineers.
Secondly, this release will most likely drive the prices for the 3000 series down, making it more accessible for more people to have highly powered GPUs to game and work on. As a self-proclaimed PC egalitarian, this concept excites me.
However you feel about the validity of these rumors and leaks, the Nvidia RTX 4060 seems to be an excellent card, and if it is released at the estimated price, it will be pretty much unbeatable in price to performance. So now, all we can do is wait and hope for a release date where the cards are widely available, and the performance lives up to our expectations.
