Newsmax: What You Need to Know
Billed as a conservative news outlet by many in the media, Newsmax TV hit the airwaves in 2014. Their viewership has grown considerably since that time. The channel is viewed by millions of households across the U.S. and is seen as a competitor to Fox News. They lag behind MSNBC and CNN with primetime ratings, however. The Newsmax channel on DISH Network is available through the America’s Top 120, Top 120+, Top 200, and Top 250 packages.

Newsmax Programming
The programming on DISH varies somewhat from the week to the weekends, with a few holdovers. For the most part, they keep a steady stream of news going throughout the day. That means you can look forward to a set schedule of shows outside of specials and breaking news reports.
In the mornings during the week, you can kick things off with Wake Up America hosted by Rob Finnerty. That’s followed by National Report a few hours later, which airs until noon. That program covers important news as it breaks along with other issues from a variety of areas. Next up is Newsline, which takes on news from across the United States and around the world.
Opinion shows begin to air in the afternoon with the Chris Salcedo Show. After that, it’s a steady dose of opinions and news until the next day’s coverage begins. In the evening, you can look forward to shows like The Record with Greta Van Susteren, Greg Kelly Reports, and Eric Bolling The Balance.

Weekend coverage also sticks closely to a schedule. Shows like the Saturday Report and Saturday Agenda are staples on Newsmax TV. The Count covers the hottest news stories of the week, while the Mark Kaye Show touches on a number of topics in the evening. You’ll find shows from Dick Morris, Rob Carson, and Wendy Ball on Saturdays as well.
On Sundays, there is more news coverage, opinionated shows, and some light religious programming in the early hours.
