The Explorer 1000 has a massive 1002 Wh (46.4Ah, 21.6V) capacity. This makes it a reliable power source for long trips, remote locations, and domestic outages. Clean power
Jackery’s Explorer 1000 power station contains an inverter to deliver the battery’s direct current (DC) power as alternating current (AC). This is the same way it comes out of the outlet at home. Unlike gas generators that can produce spikes and voltage drops, the Explorer 1000 produces clean sine wave electricity that you can use on your sensitive electronic devices confidently.
Temperature-controlled output power
The Jackery Explorer 1000 has temperature-controlled output power to protect the power station and your devices. An integrated fan will start operating when temperatures exceed 55°C (131°F), or the output power exceeds 250 watts.

Jackery Explorer 1000 Mobile Power Station Review
The Jackery Explorer 1000 is a great partner for adventures in the great outdoors. Despite being extremely powerful, we found this compact lithium-ion battery power station very easy to use, with all the ports needed to keep our tech gear, basic appliances, and grill running for a hot meal.
Many power banks and power stations can’t cope with appliances with wattage above 200W. With 2000 surge watts and 1000 running watts, we could use this power station with a much wider range of appliances, including kettles and hairdryers.
Compact and genuinely portable
The sturdy but comfortable handle makes the power station easy to carry. It weighs just over 22 pounds, which is impressive for its significant output. The compact dimensions of the Explorer 2000 make it easy to stow with gear for camping or fishing, or alongside medical devices like CPAP machines.
Impressive performance with a range of everyday appliances
We tried out various devices and appliances with the Jackery Explorer 1000 and we’re surprised at just how hard this unit works. When fully charged, it provides a one-kilowatt hour of electricity to use however you want. To give you an idea of how much use we got from the Explorer 1000, here is the power station’s runtime for some common appliances:

We could use the most sensitive devices with this power station, confident that its superior protection features would prevent damage. The Explorer 1000 comes with innovative overvoltage and short circuit protection technology and an advanced battery management system (BMS) that protects the power station from inadvertent misuse or damage.
Efficient recharging
Several options exist for topping up or fully recharging this battery power station. It is rated for at least 500 full charges, usually two to three years of use. All the mains outlet plus solar and car charging cables are supplied with the power station.
A full charge using mains power is the fastest, taking just over five hours, while solar charging takes six to eight hours. Charging via a 12V car outlet takes the longest at over 11 hours. The power station displays input and output wattages and battery percentages on its LCD panel, so we were able to track our usage.
Harness the power of the sun
Its effective solar recharging boost the green credentials of this power station. By hooking up two Jackery SolarSaga solar panels (sold separately) to the ports on the power station on a sunny day, we could recharge the power station in 6 to 8 hours. We could even hook up the solar panels and power station to our laptop for pass-through charging.

Don’t buy it if…
You are looking for a backup power supply for your entire home. The Explorer 1000 does a fantastic job of powering individual appliances but cannot go toe to toe with a gas generator.
You intend to power multiple devices at once and have no means of recharging the power station. The Jackery SolarSaga solar panels can help you keep the station topped up in remote locations.
You are relying on a backpack for carrying your gear. The additional 22 pounds may make the Explorer 1000 too heavy for trekking.
