Moon Knight has been a popular cult comic book character with Marvel fans for decades. Collectibles were considered somewhat scarce until Marc Spector made his debut on Disney+, but Funko quickly jumped in. That means there’s a series of Moon Knight Funko Pops, but are they worth collecting?
That’s an important question given the status of Moon Knight Season 2. While the series is unique and has earned plenty of fans, Marvel has been silent on a second season so far. That means you may need to proceed with caution from an investment standpoint, although the price of these Moon Knight Funko Pops! is very appealing.
1. Marvel Moon Knight Stan Lee LACC Funko Pops!
When you’re looking for the best and rarest Funko Pops, there are two that should be at the top of your list. Both of these figures were released well before the Moon Knight TV show and debuted at a very special Con in LA.
Moon Knight Funko Pop #266 is a Stan Lee’s LA Comic Con Exclusive. It glows in the dark and arrived alongside Funko Pop #267, which shows our hero rolling up his sleeves and getting ready for business. Both of these figures are considered grails in this collection, but Moon Knight #266 tends to have a slightly higher price tag.
2. Funko Pop! Comic Covers Moon Knight #8
Moon Knight may seem like a new character to younger generations, but that isn’t the case. Marc Spector made his first appearance in Werewolf by Night #32 in 1975. Collectors that want a take on Marvel’s classic version of Moon Knight will love this Funko Pop!
Funko Pop! Comic Covers have made a splash since their debut and Marvel Spotlight Moon Knight #8 provides a great representation of this classic character. These faux covers look fantastic on display, whether sitting on a shelf or hung on your wall alongside other collectibles.
3. Moon Knight Taweret Funko Pop #1189 Exclusive
When Moon Knight was announced for Disney+, fans of the character didn’t know what to expect. While the jury is still out on some aspects of the show, nobody is denying the popularity of the deity known as Taweret.
Moon Knight season 1 was full of surprises, and Taweret was a sight to behold. This deity was a star of the show and is now immortalized in vinyl. Funko Pop Tawaret #1189 is one of the newer figures from the series. She is available as a Wondercon exclusive, and while affordable now, you can expect the price on this figure to grow over time.
4. Marvel Moon Knight Pop! #272 Exclusive
Do you like the LACC glowing exclusives of Moon Knight, but not the costume? If you’re a fan of the “cloaked” version of Marc Spector, there’s another exclusive from the early series. This one comes from Walgreens, and is the most widely-recognized version of Moon Knight in Pop! form.
Complete with a hood and cape, the Moon Knight Funko Pop #272 is a 2017 release from the company. It was only available for a limited time and is one of the company’s vaulted figures. While not the rarest or most expensive Moon Knight Funko Pop, it is one of the earliest and will hold value well.
5. Marvel Studios Pop! Temple of Khonshu Statue #1053
Funko loves to release their Pops as exclusives, and you never know where they’ll turn up. Target has long been a popular option, and it’s the only place you could purchase this large Moon Knight Funko Pop!
In 2022, Funko dropped a 10” version of the Moon Knight Temple of Khonshu Statue from the series. It’s a figure that will definitely get your attention and has proved popular with Funko fans since its release. This figure sold out at Target long ago, but you can pick one up through online retailers like eBay, Amazon, and Walmart.
More Moon Knight Funko Pops!
The Moon Knight comic book and TV series feature a large cast of characters. While the show only dipped its toes into the history of the comics, key characters were well represented. That includes an infamous bad guy, friends, and a few more versions of our hero.
This character may not look like much, but if you watched the series, you know how villainous he can be. Funko Pop! Moon Knight Arthur Harrow #1051 is a bobblehead pop in standard size. You can also pick up Layla and her fun variant, the Scarlet Scarab.
Scarlet Scarab Funko Pop #1093 is a Funko Summer Convention exclusive with a great price point. She’s not as frightening or quite as rare as other versions of Moon Knight, however. Fans of the Marvel Zombies line will love the zombified version of Marc, which is another limited-edition figure.
Glow in the Dark, or GITD, Funko figures have always been popular. Our top options from Stan’s Comic Con may be too expensive for some collectors, but later versions of Moon Knight certainly aren’t. There were two versions of Moon Knight released to coincide with the series, and each has a glow-in-the-dark variant.
Moon Knight Funko Pop #1047 features a blue version of the famous ragged costume. The special edition figure is a perfect match for one of Marc’s alter egos — Mr. Knight. You can pick up a glowing version of this figure with Funko Pop #1048. Want to round things out? Then you’ll want to consider the glowing version of Khonshu which is Funko Pop #1049.
The last figure we want to touch on is one that many fans won’t be familiar with. The Arachknight Funko Pop! #859 provides a unique take on Moon Knight and Spider-Man. It’s part of the Infinity Warps collection, which also includes fun character combos like Ghost Panther, Diamond Patch, and Iron Hammer.
Are Moon Knight Funko Pops worth collecting? Well, that depends on how big of a fan you are of the character, in our opinion. From an investment standpoint, it’s a mixed bag. There is a nice selection of limited edition figures, but they could lose steam if Disney doesn’t produce a Moon Knight Season 2. Many of the Moon Knight Pops! are also new and still available in stock.
If you’re a fan of the character in general, there’s no doubt about these collectibles. Moon Knight has always been somewhat of a fringe character, which means figures can be hard to come by. While Funko doesn’t have the most expansive collection of Moon Knight figures yet, that could change quickly with an announcement from Marvel and Disney.
