How to See Wi-Fi Passwords from Old iPhones
Another really neat trick that iPhone and Mac users can do is find the Wi-Fi passwords you stored in your old iPhones. This method only works if the iCloud Keychain was enabled on your old iPhone. Fortunately, Apple typically prompts us to do that when we set up our iPhones, so the Keychain likely captured your old Wi-Fi password.
If you need to find an old password, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open Keychain on Mac

Open the Finder on your Mac. This is the icon on the far left side of the Dock. Then, type Keychain into the search bar in the top right corner. Double-click the Keychain Access app to open it.
Note: You can also use the CMD + Spacebar shortcut to quickly find the Keychain Access app.
Step 2: Search Wi-Fi Passwords

The initial page shows you all passwords saved in the Keychain. Type “Wi-Fi” in the search bar in the top right corner to filter your old Wi-Fi passwords.
Note: If you changed your Wi-Fi name at some point, try searching that instead.
Step 3: Double-click the Network

The password will appear, and you can copy and paste it wherever you like.
Wi-Fi Password Storage on iPhones and the iCloud
It would be a shame to lose your Wi-Fi password. You’d have difficulty connecting any of your devices to your router. Fortunately, users have many options to store this precious key in places where it can easily be uncovered.
iCloud Keychain
One of the best ways to store Wi-Fi passwords is in the iCloud Keychain. You can still see the password even if your iPhone is lost or stolen. However, you must first enable the feature. Open the Settings on your iPhone and tap on your name at the top.
Then, tap Passwords and Keychain. Finally, enable the toggle switch so it turns green. Now, you can find your current Wi-Fi password on any Apple device.
The iCloud
This method isn’t as glamorous as the one above, but it works. Without a little workaround, you can’t store your Wi-Fi password directly in your iCloud account. So, it’s good that we have an easy workaround for you.
Follow the steps above so you can see your password. Then, take a screenshot of it. Mark this screenshot as a favorite and save it in your iCloud.
Wi-Fi Password Unlocked
Revealing your iPhone password on an iPhone is delightfully simple. Although the steps vary depending on the iPhone’s model, they’re pretty easy to follow after learning how to do it. After revealing your Wi-Fi password, you can share it with friends or store it somewhere easier to find. Furthermore, you can save passwords in the iCloud or Keychain and keep them forever.
