Netflix is super easy to use, but when you’re trying to log out of your Netflix account on a smart TV, it can be quite a pain.
Logging out of the Netflix app on a smart TV works differently than when you’re logged in directly through the Netflix website.
Luckily, we’ll show you how to log out of Netflix in 3 steps below, so let’s break it down!
How to Log Out of Netflix on TV in 3 Easy Steps
Some people think that it is impossible to log out of Netflix on TV, but it is still possible and you just need to know where to find the sign-out button, so follow along as we show you what to do.
Step 1: Open the Netflix App
Open the Netflix app on your TV as usual and select your profile in your Netflix account. This will take you to the home page where you can search for content.
Interestingly, the sign-out button is not in the menu on the left side; it’s in a different menu.

Step 2: Click on the Get Help Button
The Get Help button is often overlooked, but that’s where you’ll find the sign-out feature in the Netflix TV app. The button is located on the bottom right, right next to the Exit Netflix button.
When you click on the Get Help button, another small menu will open on the left, and when you see it, you can proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Scroll Down the Menu and Sign Out
In the menu on the left, you will see several options, but scroll down to find the Sign Out button.
When you aim at the Sign Out tab, you’ll see a small message on the right that says this feature is to sign out of the Netflix account on this device.
Click the Sign Out button and your account will automatically sign out of your Netflix account from your smart TV.
Remember that this also applies to the Netflix smartphone app.

Will My Netflix Login Information Be Saved on a TV?
If you successfully sign out, you will see the sign-in page, and some users might notice that their email address or phone number is in the sign-in field. Keep in mind that Netflix does not store your login information, but it does store the email address or phone number of the last account used to sign in to the app.
This also depends on the TV and its system, so this should not be a problem for some users. Others who see this problem should try deleting the email and reloading the Netflix app to see if your credentials are still there.
If you can’t delete them, they’ll stay there until someone else logs in after you, but that shouldn’t be a problem since the password is missing.
Wrapping Up
If you don’t find the log-out feature right away, don’t panic.
Netflix hasn’t optimized the sign-out button very well, and since it’s not in the main menu, you’ll have to reach it through the help section. This is something that users might not think about because, usually, signing out is a straightforward process in most apps.
Once you know where to find it, you won’t have a hard time logging out next time. Keep in mind that this feature may change in different versions of the Netflix app, and it may not always be the same on smart TVs with older versions of the Netflix app.
