Like Blink and Ring, Wyze offers a variety of excellent home security cameras. The Wyze product line is versatile and expansive, from pet cameras to baby monitors to doorbell cams. As a potential buyer, you need to know how to connect a Wyze camera to Wi-Fi. It’s an integral part of how the camera operates. Here is how it is done.

Why Use A Wyze Camera?

Before jumping into the steps, let’s look at the reasons for using the Wyze camera over similar offerings from Blink or Ring. After all, Blink and Ring are the far more popular brands on the market. So, why trust Wyze with your security and monitoring needs? Not only are Wyze cameras compact, but they are affordable and high quality. Let’s elaborate on these three reasons.

Size

One of Wyze’s most distinguishing factors? The small, square size of its products. Whether you’re checking out its pet cameras or baby monitors, indoor or outdoor security cams, Wyze’s products are almost always compact and square. It’s an excellent way to differentiate the brand from the competition. Not to mention, it’s an absolute convenience to the consumer with space issues at home.

Price

Looking beyond its convenient physical specs, Wyze cameras are also remarkably affordable. For example, its video doorbells start at just $29.99. Its indoor cams are even cheaper, costing as low as $23.99. Uniquely enough, Wyze also offers refurbished products at even greater discounts. For instance, a refurbished Wyze Cam Pan v2 initially markets for $43.99 but sells on the Wyze site refurbished for $26.99. Overall, Wyze remains an affordable home security camera brand in the market.

Quality

With the typically small size and low price points of its products, you might assume that Wyze cameras fall short of the quality of competitors Blink or Ring. However, this assumption would be incorrect. Even though they’re smaller and cheaper than the competition, Wyze cameras don’t sacrifice quality. This goes for both the quality of the materials used and the quality of the camera footage. Wyze cams shoot in HD video, offering night vision and full-color footage across their entire product line.
