How to Cancel Zoom Subscription: Step-by-Step Guide with Photos

Zoom gives you extra features like video recording, launching polls, and holding longer meetings if you pay for a subscription. However, sometimes, you can save a little money if you cancel your Zoom subscription and use the free version.

The following sections will teach you how to cancel your Zoom subscription. We’ll also show you some other helpful tips to ensure your subscription won’t renew and how to change your billing method.

How Does Zoom Cancelation Work?

Zoom automatically renews your subscription on the date you signed up. This renewal occurs monthly or annually, depending on the plan you chose when you signed up.

When your plan renews, Zoom charges your payment method on file. However, when you cancel, your payment method won’t get charged again, and you can’t use any of the premium features.

It’s essential to check your renewal date before canceling your account. If you cancel the day of or the day after your next renewal date, you may see another Zoom subscription charge. Also, you can’t cancel Zoom using the iPhone or Android app.

Helpful hint: If you do get another subscription charge after canceling your subscription, you can request a refund on the Cancel Plan page. Be sure to request a refund within 30 days of submitting the cancelation request.

How to Cancel Your Zoom Subscription

Zoom auto-renews every month on the same day you signed up for the service, or every year, depending on how you pay for your plan.

When it’s time to stop your Zoom subscription plan, you can cancel it by following these simple steps below.

Open your web browser and navigate to the Zoom login page here. Then, sign into your account.

Helpful hint: Ensure you’re signing into the Zoom account with the paid subscription. You can log in with your email and password or your Gmail or Apple account. The login method you choose should match the one you used when you signed up for the service.

How to Cancel Zoom Subscription: Step-by-Step Guide with Photos FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Can I cancel my Zoom subscription using the Zoom mobile app?

No. Zoom only lets us cancel our paid subscription plan using a web browser. However, you can open any web browser on your smartphone and go to the Zoom web portal link. Then, sign in and follow the steps above (but on a much smaller screen).

How do I know how I'm paying for Zoom?

If you go to the Billing page, you can see how you’re paying for your Zoom subscription at the bottom.

What if I want to lower my plan?

If you want to reduce your plan, you can follow the steps above. Except, instead of clicking the option to cancel, change your plan. Change to a lower plan, and the next renewal date will begin with that lower-cost option.

Who do I contact for help with my Zoom subscription?

If you run into an error code or need help canceling your subscription, use Zoom’s chat feature or the Zoom Contact Us page for assistance.

What do I lose if I cancel my Zoom subscription?

Not including any add-ons, your meetings can only last 40 minutes; you can only have 100 attendees, and you can’t use the Zoom polling feature or record your meetings. For a full list of features, click this link and review your current plan versus the free one.
