Zoom gives you extra features like video recording, launching polls, and holding longer meetings if you pay for a subscription. However, sometimes, you can save a little money if you cancel your Zoom subscription and use the free version.
The following sections will teach you how to cancel your Zoom subscription. We’ll also show you some other helpful tips to ensure your subscription won’t renew and how to change your billing method.
How Does Zoom Cancelation Work?
Zoom automatically renews your subscription on the date you signed up. This renewal occurs monthly or annually, depending on the plan you chose when you signed up.
When your plan renews, Zoom charges your payment method on file. However, when you cancel, your payment method won’t get charged again, and you can’t use any of the premium features.
It’s essential to check your renewal date before canceling your account. If you cancel the day of or the day after your next renewal date, you may see another Zoom subscription charge. Also, you can’t cancel Zoom using the iPhone or Android app.
Helpful hint: If you do get another subscription charge after canceling your subscription, you can request a refund on the Cancel Plan page. Be sure to request a refund within 30 days of submitting the cancelation request.

How to Cancel Your Zoom Subscription
Zoom auto-renews every month on the same day you signed up for the service, or every year, depending on how you pay for your plan.
When it’s time to stop your Zoom subscription plan, you can cancel it by following these simple steps below.
Step 1: Sign into Zoom
Open your web browser and navigate to the Zoom login page here. Then, sign into your account.
Helpful hint: Ensure you’re signing into the Zoom account with the paid subscription. You can log in with your email and password or your Gmail or Apple account. The login method you choose should match the one you used when you signed up for the service.

Step 2: Click Account Management
The menu on the left has an option called Account Management. Click that option.

Step 3: Click Billing
The menu expands after clicking Account Management, revealing a Billing option. Click Billing.

Step 4: Click Cancel Plan
Ensure you’re on the Current tab and click Cancel Plan to the right of your Zoom subscription. Follow the steps to let Zoom know why you want to cancel and confirm that’s what you want to do.
Helpful hint: You can also cancel any add-ons on this page as well by following the same steps.

How to Cancel One Zoom License
Perhaps you have more than one Zoom license (authorized users) and want to cancel only one. Here’s what to do.
Step 1: Open the Billing Settings
Similar to the steps above, sign into your Zoom account and click Account Management. Then, click Billing.

Step 2: Click Edit Subscription
As long as you’re on the Current subscription tab, you’ll see an Edit Current Plan option. Click that to move forward.

Step 3: Adjust the Licenses
Now, you can use the +/- buttons to increase or decrease the number of Zoom licenses you need. Lower it to accommodate the one you don’t want anymore, and click Continue to Payment at the bottom.

How to Verify Your Zoom Account is Cancelled
One of the most essential aspects of canceling your Zoom subscription is to ensure that it is, in fact, canceled. Follow these steps.
Step 1: Sign Into Your Zoom Account
Go to the Zoom login page on a browser and sign into your account.

Step 2: Click Account Management
Click Account Management on the left-side menu.

Step 3: Click Billing

Step 4: Check Your Subscription Status
You’ll see a Status option to the right of your current subscription. It should say Canceled rather than Active.
Helpful hint: Check your email for a cancelation confirmation. If you didn’t receive an email, follow the steps again, and ensure you confirm the cancelation. Contact Zoom if you have other problems.

How to Pause Your Zoom Subscription
If you aren’t ready to commit to a cancelation, you can pause your Zoom account. Pausing an account means you won’t pay for, or have any benefits of, a Zoom subscription until you resume your subscription.
Here’s how to pause your Zoom account.
Step 1: Go to the Billing Settings
Open the Zoom account page on a web browser and sign into your account here. Then click Account Management and Billing.

Now, you can set a time limit to pause your Zoom account or pause it indefinitely.

How to Deactivate Your Zoom Account

First, go to your Zoom account on a web browser and log in here.
