How To Cancel Subscriptions On Paypal: In 6 Steps (With Photos)

PayPal makes it easy to pay your monthly subscriptions and create subscriptions for your customers. You can also cancel those subscriptions at any time. If you’ve set up a subscription for others to pay on PayPal, you can easily cancel it on the web. If you want to cancel some of the recurring monthly subscriptions, simply turn off automatic payments.

While all the ins and outs of PayPal subscriptions are a little tedious to learn, we’ll make it easy. Keep reading to know all about canceling PayPal subscriptions.

Things to Know About PayPal Subscriptions

A simple search for Canceling PayPal Subscriptions will populate a mass of articles irrelevant to most users. We took all of that information and condensed it into one article.

Before we jump into the tutorials, let’s take a minute to give you a breakdown of which sections will help you to cancel your PayPal Subscriptions.

Canceling PayPal Subscriptions on the Mobile App

In the first two sections, we’ll explain how to cancel subscriptions on the iOS and Android mobile apps. The instructions vary slightly depending on which OS you’re using.

However, you can’t cancel subscriptions you create on the mobile app. You can only cancel the ones you pay with your PayPal account.

Furthermore, you aren’t exactly canceling the plans. When you pay another merchant for a service every month, it’s considered PayPal automatic payments. Essentially, you’re removing PayPal as your payment method. We like this method because it’s easier than going to individual subscription sites to cancel a plan.

If you have a personal account and want to turn off automatic payments for a service paid to another merchant, that’s the section for you.
