Amazon provides its user base with a diverse array of products, but you’ll find just as much variance with its membership plans. Whether you have a free trial coming to an end or no longer need Amazon Prime, you can cancel subscriptions on Amazon using these steps from a PC or mobile device.

Amazon Subscriptions Explained

Amazon started off selling movies, music, and books before moving into a wider range of consumer goods in the late 1990s. Subscriptions have been around in some form since the company’s inception, but have changed considerably over the years.

Today consumers can subscribe to magazines through Amazon along with ComiXology or the Blink video doorbell. You can rent movies through Amazon Video, take out an Amazon Prime subscription, or set up Subscribe & Save.  Some services are also only available as a perk of Prime like the Amazon Book Box membership.

Regardless of which membership you choose, Amazon makes canceling painless. You can manage most subscriptions through the company by accessing your account settings whether you’re on a web browser or a smartphone.

Don’t see your Amazon Subscription?

Amazon has done an excellent job of keeping things streamlined through its app and website despite the number of services they offer. While the Memberships section holds most data related to subscriptions you’ve taken through the company, you may have trouble finding memberships if you’re a Kindle user.

To cancel or find memberships to Kindle Newsstand, Subscribe & Save or Audible, go to the Memberships & Subscriptions section under Account Settings. At the bottom of the page, you will see icons for each of these services along with a section for orders.

Select the subscription you want to manage. From the next screen, choose Cancel to end your membership to Audible or another service. The process may vary from one service to another, but is straightforward from start to finish.
