Whether you are looking to save some money or just want to get out of the ecosystem, canceling your Amazon Prime subscription is a valuable option. Thankfully, it’s really easy to do, whether you are using your phone or a computer.
Here are step-by-step guides for canceling on both your computer and your phone so you can choose which is best for you.
6 Steps to Cancel Amazon Prime on Your Computer
Step 1: Open Your Amazon.com Account
The first step of canceling your Prime membership is to access your account. Head to amazon.com and make sure you are signed in. If you aren’t signed in, click Sign In at the top of the screen. If you are, you should see your standard shopping pages with the various options on the top right-hand side.
Step 2: Go to Your Account Options
At the top right of the screen, you should see the account holder’s name with the options for Account & Lists. This is where you will find your primary setting options, plus a lot of other options. A large white menu should open up when you hover your account over this menu.
Step 3: Click on Account
When you hover over the menu, you will see an option labeled Account. This is a link that will take you to manage all account settings, as well as your overall Prime settings and account management. Go ahead and click that link, which will then take you to a different page.
Step 4: Select Your Prime Settings
Once you are on your Account settings, you are going to want to select your Prime settings. Amazon has multiple services (Prime Movies, Amazon Music, etc.), but they are all associated with a single Prime subscription. The Prime settings are where you can manage this subscription as well as view its associated benefits.
Step 5: Click Manage Membership
Once you are viewing your Prime central page, click on the option labeled Manage Membership. This option is one of three that allow you to manage the settings, payment, and renewal of your Prime membership.
Step 6: Click End Membership and Follow the On-Screen Prompts
Once you see your membership options, go ahead and click on where it says Update, cancel, and more. This will open up a drop-down menu with a few options. At the bottom of this menu is the option to End Membership. This will cancel your next payment for the membership, at which point you will lose all access to the service. Once you have selected End membership, follow the on-screen prompts.
Once you’ve completed the on-screen prompts, your Prime membership will successfully be deleted!

Once you are in the menu for your Prime subscription, look for the dropdown menu near the top. This will open up a few options, namely the ability to manage the membership. You can also tap this menu to understand your Prime a bit better, plus see certain deals that are available to you.
Step 4: Tap Manage Membership (and Then Tap It Two More Times)
Once you’ve tapped the drop-down menu, you can tap the Manage My Membership option (shown above). This will take you to a different page where you have administrator access to manage your Prime subscription and associated accounts. Once here, you will then need to tap another Manage Membership drop-down menu (shown below), then tap on another Manage Membership button (also shown below).
