This step is critical for those who still need to link their bank accounts to their PayPal accounts. Connecting your card or bank account is essential because this is the account you will use to add money to your PayPal account.
Step 3: Ensure You Link Your Bank Account
After clicking “Link a Card or Bank” in Step 2 above, the dialog box below appears. Note that the box has five spaces where you will key in your card details. These spaces include:
- debit or credit card number
- card type
- expiration date
- security code
- billing address

In the topmost space, enter your debit or credit card number. Ensure that you are precise and that you have correctly entered the numbers. After that, press on the “Card type” prompt. Here, you will choose the type of card that you use. It can be Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, or UnionPay. Choose your exact card type.
Proceed to enter your card’s expiration date in the third dialog box. The fourth dialog box is unique as it is only for those who have a CSC code. If your card has this code, then enter it here. Finaly, input your billing address in the fifth dialog box.

There are three options to choose from. The first is “Transfer to your bank” and the second is “Request a check by mail.” At the bottom of this page, you will notice the option “Add money to your balance.” Of course, this is the one that you wanted, so click on it.
Step 6: Enter the Amount You Want to Add to PayPal
Be sure to key in the number of funds you intend to transfer from your bank. Refrain from making a mistake, since this is an automated process. After entering the amount in the dialogue box below, hit the “Add” button.
