Fox Sports on DISH Network: What You Need to Know
The network known as Fox Sports has experienced impressive growth since it formed in 1994 and began to take on ESPN. They have broadcast rights to NASCAR, MLB, NFL games, and other sports. They also have a number of spin-off or sister channels over the years. With that in mind, there are only three tied to Fox Sports available on DISH Network.
Fox Sports 1, or FS1, is the company’s main channel, while FS2 shows events from FS1 along with news and analysis throughout the day. DISH Network users can watch FS1 on any of the provider’s packages. If you’re interested in Fox Sports 2, you’ll need to start with the America’s Top 120+ tier, which includes the multi-sport option.
Fox Sports Programming
Fox Sports 1 produces a lot of seasonal content based on active sports throughout the year. That includes games and replays from various sports, although they heavily focus on baseball and college football in the states.
They’ve been airing major league baseball since 2014, including post-season games. In 2023, they aired the World Baseball Classic as well. NCAA football coverage doesn’t measure up to ESPN, but they have access to NCAA football and basketball. Contracts include the Mountain West, Pac-12, Big 12, Big East, and Big Ten.
Hockey, NBA, and NFL are notable exceptions on FS1 for live content outside of special events or replays. Horse racing is popular on the network, and Fox Sports has aired the Westminster Dog Show since 2017. Boxing and bowling are present through their respective leagues and replays from WWE SmackDown from Fox.
International sports on Fox include Major League Rugby, select FIFA coverage, and matches from Cope de France, Liga MX, and Major League Soccer. The network also deals with a wide range of motorsports. NASCAR has been on the network since 2013. You can watch events from the NHRA and Menards Stock Racing Series as well.

Fox Sports Original Content
Fox Sports doesn’t have any originals like ESPN with their 30 for 30 series. They do have a number of sports talk shows, however. Two of the more popular options on the network are Undisputed with Skip Bayless and Colin Cowherd’s “The Herd.”
Those are daily shows you can catch through Fox Spots and FS1, along with shows like First Things First and The Carton Show. Seasonal content varies throughout the year but includes NASCAR events and college football coverage.
Fox Sports Sister Stations
When Disney took over Fox, the network’s programming and lineup shifted significantly. Fox Sports is still going strong, however, and the media group has three sister channels.
Fox Sports 2 is a channel you can find across a number of providers, including DISH TV, through certain packages. The channel was originally Fuel TV with a focus on extreme sports but was rebranded as FS2 in 2013. It now works as an overflow channel for Fox Sports 1, airing content from the main channel along with its own content.
The Big Ten Network also falls under the Fox Sports banner as a holdover from the Disney merger. The network currently has a contract to handle Big Ten sports through 2032. That network has more originals than both regular Fox sports channels combined, although it’s an add-on channel or included with sports packages with most providers.
Fox Deportes is another add-on channel for Spanish-speaking households and it’s the best way to get sports broadcast in Spanish from the main network. The company also has Fox Soccer Plus, a $15 channel featuring matches from UEFA and other leagues, and premium rugby content.
