Why Should You Buy the Acer Predator Orion 3000 PO3-640-UA91 Gaming Desktop?
The Acer Predator Orion 3000 PO3-640-UA91 Gaming Desktop is considered to be a powerful mid-range gaming desktop. It’s ideal for playing games at 1080p or 1440p but isn’t designed to handle 4K. Is the Acer Predator Orion 3000 PO3-640-UA91 Gaming Desktop Worth It?
We compared the Acer Predator Orion 3000 PO3-640-UA91 Gaming Desktop (list price $1,499.99) to two similar mid-priced gaming computers: the Dell G5 Gaming Desktop ($1,499.99) and the Skytech Archimedes Gaming Desktop ($1,399.99).
The Skytech has the best CPU, the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H 8-Core, which has more cores, threads, and L3 cache than the Intel Core i7-12700F 12-Core in the other two PCs.
The Dell has the best GPU: the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. This GPU is newer and more powerful than the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 in the other two desktops. The Dell also has twice as much RAM as the other two gaming laptops in our roundup: 32GB DDR4 vs. 16GB DDR4.
The Dell is the winner in the storage category as well, with 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD + 2TB HDD. The Acer has 512GB Gen4 SSD + 1TB HDD and the Skytech has 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
Overall, the Dell is the best gaming computer in this comparison due to its superior GPU, higher quantity of RAM, and greater storage capacity. All three computers have a similar list price. But at its current sale price of $1,189.99, we think it’s worth considering.
